TRAFFIC ADVISORY - CALTRANS ANNOUNCES SPORADIC CLOSURES OF GLENN ANDERSON FREEWAY (I-105)

(Los Angeles, California – September 26, 2008) Both the westbound and eastbound I-105 access ramps leading to and from the Sepulveda Tunnel at Los AngelesInternationalAirport (LAX) will be closed 5 days due to the widening of those ramps by the California Department of Transportation (CalTrans). Two projects will widen and resurface the Sepulveda Boulevard on-and off-ramps. The closures will be in effect both during the day and nightly at various hours.

LOS ANGELES WORLD AIRPORTS DEVELOPS GUIDELINES FOR SUSTAINABLE AIRPORT PLANNING, DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF ALL ITS PROJECTS
(Los Angeles, California – September 23, 2008)  A comprehensive set of guidelines is being used by Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) to implement sustainable airport planning, design and construction of all its airport projects.  

The guidelines are contained in a new 288-page workbook called SustainableAirport Planning, Design and Construction Guidelines.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY - - WESTBOUND I-105 OFFRAMP TO NORTH SEPULVEDA BOULEVARD TO BE CLOSED EARLY MORNINGS DUE TO CALTRANS FREEWAY WIDENING PROJECT

(Los Angeles, California – September 23, 2008) The westbound I-105 off ramp leading north through the Sepulveda Tunnel to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) will be closed three nights due to the widening of that ramp by the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans). The closure will be in effect September 23 to September 26 from 11PM to 5AM.

NEW RUNWAY STATUS LIGHTS INSTALLATION TO BEGIN MONDAY, SEPT. 15 NIGHTTIME WORK ACTIVITY IS EXPECTED OVER THE NEXT TWO MONTHS
  (Los Angeles, California)  Los AngelesInternationalAirport (LAX) officials are advising the public that construction to install new airfield safety equipment beginning Monday, Sept. 15, may generate some nighttime noise.  While the overall project is expected to be completed in early 2009, any noise impacts are expected to be confined to the next two months.
