LAWA LAUNCHES "FLIGHT EXPERIENCE PROGRAM" FOR FAMILIES WITH AUTISM
(Los Angeles, California – April 18,2015) Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), participating airlines and partner agencies today launched its Flight Experience Program, offering a practice airport experience at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) from check-in to boarding for families with autism to help prepare for future travel, and help reduce anxieties and fears associated with flying. American Airlines hosted today’s program.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY: METRO AND SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA GAS COMPANY CONSTRUCTION TO IMPACT TRAFFIC TO/FROM LAX
(Los Angeles, California – April 17, 2015) Officials at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) are advising motorists that Metro and Southern California Gas Company’s (SoCalGas) construction activities near the airport may impact traffic. Metro’s construction activity is part of their work for the Crenshaw/LAX transit project and SoCalGas’ construction activity is part of their work replacing a section of natural gas pipelines with new pipe.

AEROMEXICO LAUNCHES SERVICE FROM LA/ONTARIO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO MEXICO CITY

LAX TERMINAL 4 CONNECTOR PROJECT TOPS OUT, ON SCHEDULE FOR COMPLETION
The new Terminal 4 Connector Building at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) reached a major construction milestone today when workers placed the final structural steel beam atop the building’s frame. Currently on schedule for completion in 2016, the $115 million project consists of a multi-use, multi-level facility that will provide a secure connection between the Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) and Terminal 4.

FIRST LAX RUNWAY CLOSURE BEGINS TODAY
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) today closed Runway 7R-25L, the first of four runways currently scheduled for maintenance and federally-mandated Runway Safety Area (RSA) improvements. The one-runway-at-a-time construction work is scheduled to last through 2018 and may cause flight delays similar to those experienced during bad weather conditions.

(Ontario, California – February 27, 2015 ) Passenger activity at LA/Ontario International Airport (ONT) was down slightly at 0.21% in January. ONT airlines served 313,347 travelers compared to 314,022 travelers in January 2014.
