The safety and security of passengers, airport workers, and visitors is the number one priority of the Los Angeles Airport Police Division (APD).  In light of the disappearance of EgyptAir Flight MS804, we have heightened our security posture and enhanced our counter-terrorism security measures at LAX.

Airport officials are advising airline passengers and motorists that the transport of the Space Shuttle external fuel tank (ET-94) from Marina del Rey to the California Science Center will require temporary street closures as it moves through the airport area approximately 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2016.
