AIRPORT POLICE’S LOST AND FOUND BOOSTS ITS OPERATIONAL HOURS
(Los Angeles, CA - August 10, 2001) Passengers who may have lost an item while at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) will have more assistance to find it, thanks to an increase in Airport Police’s Lost and Found operational hours. The hours have been increased to 4:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., Mondays through Fridays. Previously, the operating hours were 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Mondays through Fridays.

FOURTH OF ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE WORKSHOPS FOR LAX MASTER PLAN TO BE HELD
(Los Angeles, California – August 8, 2001) The fourth of six Environmental Justice Workshops scheduled to educate minority and low-income communities about the impacts and benefits of a Draft Master Plan to modernize Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) will be held Wednesday, August 15, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Morningside High School cafeteria, 10500 South Yukon Avenue, Inglewood.

LAWA APPROVES NEW CARGO LEASE WITH ASIANA AIRLINES
(Los Angeles, CA - August 7, 2001) Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) Board of Airport Commissioners approved today a five-year lease with Asiana Airlines, Inc. for nearly 70,000 square feet in the new Cargo Building A at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

CONTRACTS AWARDED FOR RESIDENTIAL SOUNDPROOFING NEAR LAX
(Los Angeles, California -August 7, 2001) The Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners today awarded two contracts for residential soundproofing near Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Both contracts, with a combined value of $2,386,505, were awarded to F.H. Paschen/SN Nielsen of Santa Fe Springs.

ONTARIO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO BEGIN AIRPORT-WIDE BEVERAGE ONTAINER RECYCLING PROGRAM
Ontario, California (July 11, 2001) --- Ontario International Airport (ONT), in partnership with Keep California Beautiful (KCB), a non-profit organization that promotes litter reduction and recycling activities throughout the state, will officially kick off its airport-wide beverage container recycling program on July 18, 2001. ONT, the City of Ontario, and KCB will set up booths and distribute recycling information in Terminal 4 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
