AIRPORT POLICE STRONGLY REMIND TRAVELERS TO ABIDE BY THE NO PASSENGER PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF AT TERMINAL CURBSIDE BUSES, TAXIS, SHUTTLE VANS, METRO GREEN LINE SUGGESTED AS ALTERNATIVES

(Los Angeles, California – December 29, 2003) Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) Police are reminding travelers that passenger drop-offs and pick-ups at terminal curbside, traffic islands and parking structure entrances are prohibited. As a security precaution, private vehicles are instructed to park in the airport’s Central Terminal Area (CTA) parking structures through Sunday, January 4, 2004.

LAX ANNOUNCES DETAILS OF REVISED TRAFFIC PLAN FOR CENTRAL TERMINAL AREA FOR REMAINDER OF CURRENT HOLIDAY TRAVEL PERIOD

(Los Angeles, California – December 23, 2003) Los Angeles World Airports today announced that all curbside drop-off and pick-up of passengers in the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) Central Terminal Area (CTA) will be suspended through the remainder of the current holiday period. All private vehicles entering the CTA roadways will be required to park in the parking structures.

LAX EXPECTS 2.6 MILLION PASSENGERS TO USE LAX DURING HOLIDAYS AIRPORT OFFICIALS OFFER HELPFUL TIPS TO TRAVELERS
(Los Angeles, California - December 19, 2003) Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) officials are estimating 2.6 million holiday travelers will pass through the airport between Friday, Dec. 19 through Sunday, Jan. 4. The daily average of this year’s passenger traffic is expected to be the same as last year's.
