LA/ONTARIO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT HELPS TRAVELERS CONNECT WITH FREE WI-FI
Ontario, California (May 2, 2012) – Travelers can now connect in more ways than one at LA/Ontario International Airport (ONT) thanks to the addition of free Wi-Fi high speed internet access. Starting May 2, 2012, travelers at ONT can use up to two hours of free Wi-Fi service each day throughout Terminals 2 and 4.

From the LAX Airport Response Coordination Center – Update #2 at 1425 Hours

Due to traffic congestion on northbound Sepulveda Boulevard diverted to the 96th Street Bridge to enter LAX, all motorists headed to LAX (including those from south of the airport) are advised to use Howard Hughes Parkway and take southbound Sepulveda Boulevard to access the airport.

Only two airlines reported a total of four domestic departure delays due to flight crews not being able to report on time.  There were no flight delays at the Tom Bradley International Terminal where the demonstration/rally began.

As scheduled, both east and west directions of Century Boulevard between Airport Boulevard and the LAX Central Terminal Area are closed.  The temporary closures are expected to be intermittent until 4 p.m.  Some traffic congestion is reported at the other entrances to LAX which remain open:

REPORTING STRUCTURE CHANGE ANNOUNCED FOR LA/ONTARIO INTERNATIONAL AND VAN NUYS AIRPORTS
(Los Angeles, California – April 30, 2012)  In an effort to provide increased coordination between divisions and improve continuity at Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), Executive Director Gina Marie Lindsey has announced a structural change in reporting that involves two LAWA airports:  LA/Ontario International (ONT) and Van Nuys (VNY) general aviation.

(Los Angeles, California – April 30, 2012)  Passengers, visitors and workers traveling to/from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) between 12 noon and 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1, 2012, are advised to expect vehicular traffic congestion and possible delays due to a temporary closure of westbound and eastbound Century Boulevard (airport ingress and egress) between Airport Boulevard and the LAX Central Terminal Area.  Outbound passengers are advised to add 45 minutes to their drive time to LAX to ensure they catch their departing flights.

TERMINAL ART EXHIBITIONS BLOOM IN TIME FOR SPRING AT LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (LAX)
(Los Angeles, California – April 19, 2012)  Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), in partnership with the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, reveals four new art exhibitions, featuring solo exhibitions by Chris Natrop and Barry Markowitz; a group exhibit co-curated by Susanna Meiers and Victor Raphael; and an exhibit by art consultant and writer Elizabeta Betinski. The exhibitions are currently on display through June 2012 in Terminals 1 and 3, and the Tom Bradley International Terminal for the benefit of passengers and visitors at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
