FACT SHEET ONTARIO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (ONT) RECYCLING PROGRAM
· The ONT Recycling Program is a comprehensive airport-wide recycling program being implemented in three phases. Phase One is the implementation of a mixed paper recovery program. Phase Two is the implementation of terminal-specific and ONT maintenance yard programs. Phase Three is comprised of programs targeted towards aircraft and tenant offices.

NIGHT LANE CLOSURES IN LAX SEPULVEDA TUNNEL UNTIL MAY
WHAT: Construction crews will be working in the Sepulveda Tunnel at the intersection of the I-105 Freeway and Sepulveda Boulevard adjacent to Los Angeles International Airport. Two of the three lanes in both the northbound and southbound directions of the tunnel and the southbound upper and lower exits from the airport to Sepulveda Boulevard will be temporarily closed.

XPRESS SHUTTLE INTRODUCES WORLD’S FIRST FLEET OF POLLUTION-FREE VEHICLES TO LAX NEW RAPID-CHARGING TECHNOLOGY MAKES NEW DOOR-TO-DOOR VAN SERVICE POSSIBLE
(Los Angeles, California – January 5, 2000) Xpress Shuttle today begins door-to-door van service at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) using state-of-the-art, zero-emission electric vehicles. Xpress will initially use 11 Daimler-Chrysler Electric Powered Interurban Commuter (EPIC) minivans and will increase the number to 50 within a year.

-- LAX TRAFFIC ADVISORY FOR OCT. 11-12, 2012 -- SPACE SHUTTLE ENDEAVOUR DEPARTS LAX OCTOBER 11-12, 2012; TRAFFIC DELAYS ANTICIPATED IN COMMUNITIES SURROUNDING AIRPORT
  As the Space Shuttle Endeavour begins its two-day trek from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to the California Science Center, passengers, visitors, airport workers, and ground transportation providers driving to/from LAX are advised to plan ahead and travel alternative routes to avoid possible traffic delays due to full and intermittent street closures in communities north and northeast of LAX beginning Thursday night through Friday afternoon.  Airport officials also recommend that during this period, ALL motorists -- including those driving from areas south and east of LAX -- add extra time to their drive in anticipation of traffic delays.
