ONTARIO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT DAILY FLIGHTS INCREASE
Ontario, California --- (March 20, 2000) Ontario International Airport’s (ONT) 270 daily flights increased by four on March 12 when Southwest Airlines added one new daily nonstop flight to Nashville and one daily roundtrip service to Sacramento. The flights bring to ONT two new arrivals and two new departures. Southwest Airlines – ONT’s major carrier – handles more than 40 percent of ONT’s passengers.

MAYOR RIORDAN NAMES LYDIA KENNARD EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF LOS ANGELES WORLD AIRPORTS
(Los Angeles, California – March 10, 2000) Mayor Richard J. Riordan today announced his appointment of Lydia Kennard as Executive Director of Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA). Kennard has served as Interim Executive Director of LAWA since August 1999, and as Deputy Executive Director since 1994.

NEW NIGHT LANE CLOSURE HOURS IN LAX’S SEPULVEDA TUNNEL
WHAT:Construction crews will be working in the Sepulveda Tunnel at the intersection of the I-105 Freeway and Sepulveda Boulevard adjacent to Los Angeles International Airport. Two of the three lanes in both the northbound and southbound directions of the tunnel and the southbound upper and lower exits from the airport to Sepulveda Boulevard will be temporarily closed.

BOARD OF AIRPORT COMMISSIONERS AUTHORIZES LAWA TO ACCEPT SCAQMD FUNDS FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING STATIONS

CRIME AT LAX CONTINUES DECLINE; ADMINISTRATIVE OFFENSES TRIPLE
(Los Angeles, California – January 27, 2000) Law enforcement officials at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) report that crime dropped 5.5 percent last year – the third year in a row of declining crime. Crimes against persons and property dropped by 146 to 2,491 in 1999 from 2,637 in 1998.
