CONTRACT AWARDED FOR RECONSTRUCTION OF HISTORIC THEME BUILDING AT LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
(Los Angeles, California – July 7, 2008)  The Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners today approved a $9,358,000 contract to Tower General Contractors, Sun Valley, Calif., to reconstruct the stucco “skin” and improve seismic resistance of the landmark ThemeBuilding located in the heart of Los AngelesInternationalAirport (LAX).

CONTRACT AWARDED FOR RESIDENTIAL SOUNDPROOFING WORK NEAR LAX

 ( Los Angeles , California – July 7, 2008)  The Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners today awarded a contract to Tron Construction, Inc., Hawthorne, for a portion of the Los Angeles International Airports (LAX) Residential Soundproofing Program.  The $918,790 contract covers sound insulation modifications on 54 dwelling units (seven single-family dwellings, one duplex, and 45 condominium units), all within the LAX noise-impacted area in the City of Los Angeles.

PROJECT LABOR AGREEMENT TO COVER $1.8 BILLION CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS AT LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT OPENS NEW CENTER TAXIWAY TO IMPROVE AIRFIELD SAFETY; PROJECT COMPLETED EARLY AND ON BUDGET

AIRPORT BOARD OKAYS PURCHASE OF THREE CNG-FUELED STREET SWEEPERS

 (Los Angeles, California – June 23, 2008)  Three compressed natural gas (CNG)-fueled single-engine street sweepers to be used  at Los AngelesInternationalAirport (LAX) and LA/Ontario International Airport (ONT)  have been approved for purchase by the Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners.  The contract, in the amount of $799,398, will be awarded to the Haaker Equipment Company of La Verne, CA.
