LA/ONTARIO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT CLOSES PARKING LOT F

(Ontario, California -- October 10, 2008)  LA/Ontario International Airport (ONT) officials today announced the closing of remote parking Lot F, located on the corner of Airport Drive and Vineyard Avenue.  Effective Oct. 14, Lot F will close to public parking as part of the airport’s plans to contain operational costs.

FLIGHT PATH GALA BENEFIT SALUTES LAX 80TH ANNIVERSARY

AIRPORT BOARD APPROVES INCREASE IN LAX FLYAWAY BUS FARES; INTRODUCES NEW DISCOUNT RATES FOR SENIORS, DISABLED PERSONS

(Los Angeles, California – October 8, 2008)  The Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners today approved a new fare structure for the LAX FlyAway bus service including the addition of discounts for seniors and disabled persons.  The new fares, scheduled to start Jan. 1, 2009, for the FlyAway network of non-stop buses to Los AngelesInternationalAirport (LAX), will help offset the unprecedented rise in fuel and operating costs during the past year.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY CALTRANS ANNOUNCES INTERMITTENT CLOSURES OF GLENN ANDERSON FREEWAY (105)

(Los Angeles, California – October 6, 2008) Both the westbound and eastbound I-105 access ramps leading to and from the Sepulveda Tunnel at Los AngelesInternationalAirport (LAX) will be closed at times this week due to the widening of those ramps by the California Department of Transportation (CalTrans). Two projects will widen and resurface the Sepulveda Boulevard on-and off-ramps. The closures will be in effect both during the day and nightly at various hours.

ONT UPGRADES EMERGENCY PHONE SYSTEMS TO KEEP PASSENGERS AND EMPLOYEES SAFE

LA/Ontario International Airport’s (ONT) Information Technology (IT) Section completed upgrades to its emergency call-down notification telephone system this summer.  The upgrades allow accurate and timely notification when an airport incident occurs.  The new system also notifies more airport offices than the previous system.
