$737-MILLION LAX TOM BRADLEY INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL RENOVATION COMPLETED IN TIME AND UNDER BUDGET TERMINAL UPGRADES REDUCE CONGESTION, IMPROVE PASSENGER CONVENIENCE AND SAFETY

MODERNIZED TOM BRADLEY INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL AT LAX ACHIEVES LEED SILVER CERTIFICATION
(Los Angeles, California – May 26, 2010)  The recently completed $737-million renovation of the Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) has achieved LEED-EB (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design-Existing Building) Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council – the first-ever for a renovation project at a U.S. airport.

NEW CATEGORY 6 CROSSFIELD TAXIWAY AT LAX COMPLETED ON TIME, ON BUDGET; ONE MILLION-PLUS POUND QANTAS AIRBUS A-380 BECOMES FIRST AIRCRAFT TO USE TAXIWAY
(Los Angeles, California – May 24, 2010)  A one-million-plus pound QANTAS Airbus A-380 super jumbo jet today became the first aircraft to travel on the just-completed $88-million, 3,437-feet Crossfield Taxiway (new Taxiway R) at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).  After arriving from Sidney, Australia and taxiing to its gate at the Tom Bradley International Terminal, the aircraft was greeted with a water cannon salute by two fire trucks.

DELTA AIRLINES TO FLY LAX-HANEDA TOKYO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT; NEW INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS FROM TOKYO’S PREFERRED BUSINESS AIRPORT TO GENERATE MILLIONS OF DOLLARS FOR SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA ECONOMY
  Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa today cheered the recent announcement by the U.S. Department of Transportation that Delta Airlines has been granted authority to operate daily nonstop service between Tokyo International Airport, also known as Haneda Airport, and Los Angeles and Detroit.  Haneda is considered Tokyo’s preferred business airport for its convenient location in Central Tokyo.

LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT ANNOUNCES FIRST-QUARTER PASSENGER VOLUME UP 5.4 PERCENT

(Los Angeles, California - April 29, 2010)  Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) today announced passenger volume at Los AngelesInternationalAirport(LAX) increased 5.4 percent to 13,314,854 during the first three months of this year.  

Domestic traffic rose 4.5 percent to 9,574,185 passengers from 9,153,763 during first quarter last year.

ALITALIA TO FLY LAX-ROME BEGINNING IN JUNE – NEW INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS TO LAX GENERATE TENS OF MILLIONS FOR SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA ECONOMY

LAX REPORT ON EUROPEON FLIGHTS: WEDNESDAY, APRIL 21
With the airspace over the U.K. and the rest of Europe open today, LAX's regular schedule of 17 departing flights to the U.K. and Europe are expected to operate today, along with 16 arriving flights (there is only 1 cancelled arriving flight). However, many of the flights are expected to be significantly delayed fdepending upon the time flights from Europe arrive and the planes are cleaned and prepared for turn-around to Europe.

LOS ANGELES WORLD AIRPORTS, LAX TWO CORP. REACH SETTLEMENT ON LITIGATION FOR TERMINAL 2 AT LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
   The Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners today approved a settlement agreement among Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA); LAX Two Corp.; Delta Air Lines, Inc. for itself and as successor to Northwest Airlines, Inc.; Hawaiian Airlines, Inc.; and Air Canada regarding a lawsuit pending in the United States District Court for the Central District of California in Northwest Airlines, Inc. v. City of Los Angeles concerning the lease with LAX Two Corp. for Terminal 2 at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
